Machining and Housing Fabrication
The housing of a liquid level sensor is typically constructed from stainless steel, aluminum alloy, or engineering plastics. During the manufacturing process, housing components are first formed through cutting, stamping, turning, or injection molding; these parts then undergo subsequent surface treatments such as grinding, polishing, anti-corrosion treatment, or spray coating. Components that come into direct contact with the liquid also require specialized treatment with corrosion-resistant materials or protective plating to ensure long-term, stable operation in harsh environments.

 

Sensor Element Manufacturing and Electronic Assembly
Depending on the specific type of liquid level sensor, the fabrication methods for the core sensing elements vary. For instance, float-type sensors require the precision machining of the float and stem, followed by the installation of magnetic or mechanical switches; capacitive sensors necessitate the fabrication of high-precision electrodes integrated with insulating materials; while ultrasonic or radar sensors require the assembly of piezoelectric ceramic transducers and radio-frequency (RF) circuitry. Once the sensing elements are complete, the signal processing modules must be soldered and debugged-a process that includes the implementation of amplification, filtering, power management, and signal output interfaces.

 

Calibration and Quality Inspection
Upon completion of assembly, the liquid level sensor undergoes a series of calibration and testing procedures to verify its measurement accuracy, stability, and environmental resilience. These tests include, for example, the verification of zero-point and full-scale readings, assessment of output signal stability, and testing for adaptability to varying temperatures or corrosive environments. Furthermore, rigorous testing for water resistance, dust ingress protection, and sealing integrity is conducted to ensure the product fully complies with its design specifications. Only products that successfully pass these quality checks are cleared for packaging and shipment.
