Working Principle

 

The CL-204 capacitive oil level sensor operates based on the parallel plate capacitance detection principle. The sensor probe acts as the main electrode, and the metal tank wall or built-in reference electrode forms the auxiliary electrode, with the oil and air between the two electrodes serving as the dielectric medium. Since the dielectric constant of industrial oil is much higher than that of air, when the oil level rises or falls, the proportion of oil and air in the sensor detection electric field changes synchronously, resulting in a linear change in the overall capacitance value of the sensor. The built-in high-precision chip captures tiny capacitance changes in real time, converts the capacitance variation corresponding to oil level height into standard analog or digital electrical signals, and outputs stable and readable level data, realizing real-time, continuous and accurate monitoring of oil level.

During installation, ensure the probe is kept vertical and away from the tank wall and internal baffles to avoid detection interference. The whole installation process is convenient and fast, no need to modify the equipment structure in a large scale, and it can be quickly put into use after wiring and debugging.
