Working Principle
The FH-506 portable ultrasonic flow meter operates based on thetransit-time difference principle. Two ultrasonic sensors are clamped on the outer wall of the measured pipeline, installed at upstream and downstream positions respectively. The sensors alternately transmit and receive ultrasonic signals penetrating the pipeline and internal fluid. When the fluid is static, the propagation time of ultrasonic waves in upstream and downstream directions is consistent. When the fluid flows, the ultrasonic wave propagating along the fluid flow direction travels faster with shorter transit time, while the reverse ultrasonic wave travels slower with longer transit time. The device's internal microprocessor accurately calculates the fluid flow velocity and instantaneous flow rate by capturing the precise time difference between the two signal transmissions, and further accumulates the total flow volume, realizing real-time and accurate liquid flow measurement.
