The FH-505 series covers two core ultrasonic flow meter types: transit-time type for clean water media and Doppler type for sewage, turbid water with fine impurities. Working Principle

 

The FH-505 ultrasonic flow meter adopts two mainstream ultrasonic measurement principles to adapt to different water quality conditions. The transit-time principle works for clean water media: two transducers installed on the pipeline transmit and receive ultrasonic pulses upstream and downstream respectively. Since the propagation speed of sound waves differs with and against the fluid flow, the meter calculates fluid velocity and volumetric flow by detecting the time difference of bidirectional signal propagation. The Doppler principle applies to turbid water and sewage containing suspended particles: ultrasonic signals are reflected by moving impurities in the fluid, and the equipment captures the frequency shift of reflected signals. The frequency shift value is linearly proportional to fluid flow velocity, realizing accurate flow measurement of impure water bodies. Built-in intelligent chips automatically identify water quality conditions and switch measurement modes to ensure universal applicability.
