During operation, liquid level sensors must adhere to specific operational guidelines to ensure measurement accuracy, equipment safety, and longevity. The installation process requires strict compliance with the product manual; ensure the sensor is securely mounted-either horizontally or vertically, as dictated by design specifications-and avoid proximity to strong magnetic fields or high-temperature heat sources, which could compromise measurement precision or damage the sensor. For contact-type sensors, it is also essential to verify that the sensing element's interface with the liquid remains clean and free of foreign debris.

During operation, attention must be paid to ensuring that the supply voltage, current, and output signal range remain within the sensor's designed parameters; exceeding these rated values could result in damage. Concurrently, the connecting cables between the sensor and the control system should be inspected periodically to ensure they remain intact, thereby preventing signal interference or disconnections that could trigger false alarms. Furthermore, factors such as the liquid medium's temperature, corrosivity, or particulate impurities warrant careful consideration; where necessary, appropriate protective measures-such as installing filters or selecting sensor models constructed from corrosion-resistant materials-should be implemented.

The surface of the sensor's sensing element should be cleaned regularly, and the sealing rings and protective housing should be inspected to ensure they remain in good condition; any issues regarding scale buildup or corrosion must be addressed promptly. Sensors scheduled for long-term inactivity should have their power supply disconnected and be stored properly to prevent damage from moisture or mechanical impact. By strictly adhering to these installation, operational, and maintenance protocols, the service life of liquid level sensors can be extended, ensuring their stable and reliable performance across a wide range of industrial, domestic, and scientific research environments.
